Blake Lively in Chanel Couture Spring 2009

On Wednesday, Blake Lively turned up at the premiere of "Green Lantern" in a white dream of a couture dress designed by Chanel. The dress is from the spring 2009 couture collection. I find Blake stunningly beautiful in it, but I can't help but think that it is a bit too dressed up for a movie premiere. Then again, why shouldn't she wear Chanel at every possible occasion when Karl Lagerfeld showers her with Chanel pieces? Ahh, to be so lucky!

Gwyneth Paltrow in Alexander Wang Resort 2012

Last night, Gwyneth Paltrow attended the 3rd Annual Bent on Learning Benefit in New York City. For the benefit, she wore an Alexander Wang dress fresh from the Resort 2012 collection. As I am a huge Alexander Wang fan, I was extremely happy to see this piece so quickly after it was seen on the runway. I wouldn't have guessed that Gwyneth Paltrow would be the first one to be seen in it, but seeing it on print proves that this is a perfect match.

I really love how Gwyneth Paltrow has been dressing these last years. She always looks stunning at events, and she oozes of chic and minimalistic elegance. Her outfits are never too over-the-top, but that is what I really like as she always looks glamorous and amazing without seeming to have tried too hard.

CFDA 2011: Liv Tyler in Proenza Schouler

Last night, it was time for the annual CFDA Fashion Awards. There were quite a few lovely dresses, and also one smoking hot dress (Miranda Kerr!), on display. However, the dress that really stuck to my mind was the Proenza Schouler dress that Liv Tyler wore. The dress, which is from the A/W 2011 collection, has a beautiful print consisting of rich jewel colours. Her Proenza Schouler heels are just perfect for this dress.

My favourite part of the dress is the open back. I often think that an open back can be just as sexy as a plunging neckline, and even more at times. It oozes a more sophisticated and sensual sexiness, don't you agree?

2011 MTV Movie Awards: Emma Stone

Along with Mila Kunis, Emma Stone was my favourite dressed at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards last night. She wore a beautiful, lace dress from Bottega Veneta's A/W 2011 collection. I am so happy to see Emma in so many great outfits, and I am positive that she will gain the style icon status within no time. I have to say that I miss her blonde hair though, but I know that this look would not have worked as well as it does if her hair was a different shade than this reddish brown.

Stylish Celebrities at Guys Choice Awards 2011

Last night, it was time for the Spike TV's 5th Annual 2011 Guys Choice Awards was held in Culver City. Three lovely ladies caught my eye when it came to gorgeous outfits; Mila Kunis, Eva Mendes and Rosie huntington-Whitely. Mila Kunis wore a dress by Givenchy together with Louboutin heels and a clutch by Bottega Veneta. Mixing different patterns is something that I never grow tired of. It is beautiful how well the outfit works with these two different prints together, and also how the orange clutch brings a pop of colour and excitement to the outfit as a whole.

Eva Mendes had chosen a lavender gown by Roland Mouret. Her accessories for the evening were heels by Tabitha Simmons, a vintage, gold statement necklace by YSL and a black Chanel clutch. Eva Mendes always looks great both on and off the red carpet, and this is no exception. The colour of the dress is perfect for Eva, and the cut is so elegant and sophisticated.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely wore a white dream of a dress by The Row. In addition, she had chosen heels from Brian Atwood and a clutch by Salvatore Ferragamo. Rosie has proved before that she can wear very sexy dresses without looking vulgar (think of her Burberry look at the MET Gala last month). This look is such a show-stopper. And while talking about The Row, I really do hope that Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen win the Swarovski Award for Womenswear at the CFDA Awards tomorrow night.
