On a warm Thursday morning

I took these pictures really early this morning. The wind was mild and so was the air, not normal at this time of year in Montreal. It was nice to be able and walk around without a coat or jacket. I always get sick of jackets after the first snow.

I have good news for all my Montreal readers, YeYe Vintage Boutique will be selling at this years Smart Design Mart, December 3rd,4th and 5th. I am very excited to be a part of this event, many of my favorite Montreal designers like Pin Pals, Supayana and Norwegian Wood will be there.

Petite Tuesday Saint!

I got up pretty early this morning to take these pictures, it was so cold by the time I was done my hands were frozen and I ran back home with my huge camera and tripod in hand.

I was lent a wide angle lens over the weekend and I wanted to try it out on my favorite church grounds in my neighborhood. I have it for the week and then I have to give it back, I think I will get one for myself.

Today was one of those rare days I did not have to go into work, I love those days because I can work on my own stuff and the etsy shop. I took a bunch of pictures of sweaters for the cold temps coming our way.

I also have a new addition to the blog, my lovely mother is translating this blog to French for those of you Frenchies reading this blog :)

Today I was wearing:

-Vintage pink wool coat from the 60s
-Vintage 60s top from Beacon's Closet in Brooklyn NYC
-Vintage pleated polka dot skirt
-Tan tights from XXI
-Vintage white oxfords from Germany
-Vintage crochet gloves
-Vintage beret
-Vintage purse from the 60s

-Collant Tan XXI

-Oxfords vintages de l’Allemagne

-Gants vintages crochetés

-Béret vintage

-Sac vintage des années 60

Studio Changes

It was a busy weekend, I decided to move things around in my appartement.

I made some room for a new rolling rack to store my vintage items for the etsy shop, this room constantly changes. I need to make room for my future creations!
I made the triangle flag garland late last night, I had a sewing itch and I have been seeing these on etsy and wanting to have one of my own, so voila!

Be sure to check out my etsy shop later this week for more vintage items!

Finally Friday!

The weekend is finally here and I am so glad. It has been a long one. I look forward to a lovely Thanksgiving weekend with my better half :)

I took this pictures of what I was wearing today before work really early in the morning, it was so cold and sort of rainy. The sky was grey and there was a sweet chill in the air. I am already thinking of getting a new winter coat...

Speaking of coats! I found this one last weekend for 9.99$, I love this shade of green, my top is a find from my New York trip it is from Beacons Closet in Brooklyn. Underneath I am wearing this coral vintage slip I have had for years with black tights and white oxford shoes I thrifted. The pin and airline bag are vintage from the 60s and also thrifted.

Knit dress and pattern mixing

Last week was so busy at work and this week is on the same path. I have barely enough time for blogging or sewing and pattern making. I really need to make an effort this weekend! I have loads of pretty vintage goodies to put up in the shop, all nice Fall/Winter dresses, sweaters and skirts. So much to do in so little time!

I took these shots my self this morning before going to work, the light in my studio was perfect for the mood I was in today. Kind of cold and kind of moody from the grey sky and the rain. I will have to take most of my outfit posts indoors from now on. Winter is just next door and winter boots and warm coats will hide all my outfits.

I have had this dress for a few years now, I always put it away in the Spring and in the Fall I rediscover it every time. It is a 60s knit dress in this lovely shade of green one of my favorite colors with black crosses knitted into the pattern. It is a simple cut dress but I always feel like a million bucks in it. I top the dress off with a vintage silver locket pendant found in a garage sale, Hue Paisley tights, h&m black socks and black platform booties from XXI.

Ill be back on the weekend!

Fall Comfort

Fall has got to be my favorite time of the year. Did I not mention layers in previous blog posts? I have been so busy at work this week, non stop it has been. I wanted to spend more time on the etsy shop this week but alas had no time. I will be adding a bunch more new vintage goodies in the shop tomorrow and Tuesday morning.

Next weekend is Puce pop a local Montreal market of all things handmade. One of my favorites Yarnovermovement will be there is year, I am very excited to see Tara-Lynn! If you live in the Montreal area you should really check it out, there are so many pretty and unique items for all!

Stéphane took these pictures of me while taking a stroll over to the post office, I love how the streets are starting to get covered with yellow and orange leafs and the color of the sky. I just want to rent movies and stay in and hibernate for the next couple of months.

Today I was wearing this amazing vintage skort I got in Brooklyn at Beacon's Closet, it seems to be handmade with love from the previous owner. I love the print and the colors on it, so unique! The best part is the front and the back have a panel covering the shorts part so that when you walk your not quite sure if it is a skirt. I paired it with Hue lilac blue colored tights, black and white stripped socks, Banana Republic Wallabe style wedge booties found at Buffalo exchange in Brooklyn NY, a vintage esprit leather and purple elastic belt, vintage 70s silver cardigan, white Lululemon tee, Lee denim jacket, vintage Alfred Sung back pack purse and my Yarnovermovement Cambridge chunky cowl in taupe.
