Rainy Saturday Afternoon

It has been a pretty slow Saturday for me today. I had a nice breakfast with friends this morning and nice chats of future projects.

It started to rain and get pretty chilly here in Montreal. I may have to retire my blazers to the closet and start wearing my coats from now on. Stéphane and I picked up a sweet little pumpkin pie this morning after breakfast for our Halloween diner tomorrow. I did not get much thrifting done today since the thrifh stores are full of people looking for last minute costumes. Tuesday will be my big shopping day for the shop, I am trying to buy up as much as I can till the Smart Design Mart sale at the beginning of December.

Tomorrow we plan to stay in and eat loads of candies and watch Night of the living dead :)

I tried to find old photos of me wearing a Halloween costume but the ones I have are pretty lame, my mother has no idea were the ones from when I was a child went. I am not a huge Halloween enthusiast but I do love curling up on the couch and watching scary movies and pumpkin pie!

Petit samedi relax pour moi – J’ai déjeuné avec des amis ce matin, nous avons eu des supers conversations au sujet de nos projets futurs.

Pluie et temps froid à Montréal. Je devrai sous peu ranger les blazers et devrai mettre mes manteaux.

Stéphane et moi avons acheté ce matin une jolie tarte à la citrouille pour notre souper d’Halloween demain soir.

Je n’ai pas fait les friperies aujourd’hui puisqu’elles sont bondées de gens qui recherchent à la dernière minute des costumes pour l’Halloween.

Mardi sera la journée où je ferai mes achats pour ma boutique Etsy. J’essaie de faire le plus d’achats possibles pour le Smart Design Mart en décembre.

Demain je suis à la maison et j’ai l’intention de manger un tas de bonbons et de regarder le film Night of the Living Dead J

J’ai demandé à ma mère si elle avait toujours des photos de moi toute petite en costume d’Halloween. Ma mère ne sait plus ou les photos sont rangées.
Je ne suis pas une fan d’Halloween mais j’adore regarder des films d’horreur et manger de la tarte à la citrouille.

Keeping Warm

It is that time of year again were I kind of loose control of my wardrobe and don't know what to wear anymore. It gets so cold that I seam to always wear the same thing and at work I must wear comfortable clothing since I am sewing all day long. On top of that the heating system at my job is broken and I have to wear a tank top every time I go in.

I took these shots myself today in my studio, I was playing with the natural light from the early morning sun and the wide angle lens that I am still borrowing ;)

I wore this outfit on Friday, I pretty early 60s dress I picked up in Toronto two summers ago. I really like the collar and the pretty orange color. I think I will shorten it a bit, it sticks to my legs when I wear tights. The sweater is a new addition to my ever expanding wardrobe, a grey knit sweater with elbow patches from Zara. My tights are from H&M and my shoes are vintage.

I added all those sweaters I was talking about in my last post in my etsy shop, perfect for cold weather!

Voici ce temps de l'année où je perds complètement le contrôle ma garde- robe et par conséquent, je ne sais plus quoi porter!
J'ai comme l'impression que je porte toujours les mêmes vêtements ! Que dire? Il fait si froid ces jours ci, et je dois porter des vêtements confortables pour le travail.
De plus, le système de chauffage au travail est en mode ménopause (une bouffée de chaleur continuelle) donc je dois toujours porter un haut sans manche.

J'ai pris aujourd'hui ces clichés de moi-même dans mon atelier. Je me suis amusée tôt ce matin avec la lumière naturelle. J'ai utilisé encore une fois la lentille grand-angulaire ( wide angle) qu'on m'a gentiment prêté!

J'ai porté cette tenue vendredi, c'est une robe des années 60 que j'ai acheté à Toronto en 2009. J'adore le collet et l’orange de la robe. J'ai l'intention de la raccourcir car elle me colle aux jambes lorsque je porte un collant. Le pull est un nouvel achat qui s'ajoute avec bonheur à ma garde-robe! Le pull gris en tricot avec des empiècements aux coudes. Mon collant provient de H&M et mes chaussures sont vintages.

J'ai ajouté les pulls dont je vous parlais sur Etsy - parfait pour les jours froids.
