2011 MTV Movie Awards: The Balmain Women

I am not a major fan of the MTV Movie Awards, especially when it comes to the fashion aspect. There are never all that many pieces that excite and please the eyes, but however, there are certain stars who manage to bring it to the table anyway. Three of them were all wearing Balmain; Leighton Meester, Kristen Stewart amd Mila Kunis. Leighton Meester wore a shiny, silver gown from Balmain's A/W 2011 collection, which made her shine like the true style star that she is. This dress was one of my favourite pieces from the collection, and I am so glad to see Leighton wearing it.

I rarely post photos of Kristen Stewart as I don't like her style all that much. Sometimes, however, she appears at events in some great pieces, such as this red, leather Balmain dress. I would have chosen some different shoes to wear with it though. Those black pumps are too plain for such a dress. Also, I'd like to see some more bold jewelry together with the dress - maybe a statement bracelet.

One of my favourites last night was Mila Kunis. She wore a skirt and top from Balmain's A/W 2011 collection. I love that she chose to go for this look as it is the perfect balance between formal and relaxed. I have been loving Mila's style choices lately (see the post below), and I hope that we see a lot more style choices like these, and even more style risks as she can definitely carry bold and daring pieces.

Later today, I will post another favourite outfit from this event. Can you guess who? And who was your favourite at the MTV Movie Awards?

Stylish Celebrities at Guys Choice Awards 2011

Last night, it was time for the Spike TV's 5th Annual 2011 Guys Choice Awards was held in Culver City. Three lovely ladies caught my eye when it came to gorgeous outfits; Mila Kunis, Eva Mendes and Rosie huntington-Whitely. Mila Kunis wore a dress by Givenchy together with Louboutin heels and a clutch by Bottega Veneta. Mixing different patterns is something that I never grow tired of. It is beautiful how well the outfit works with these two different prints together, and also how the orange clutch brings a pop of colour and excitement to the outfit as a whole.

Eva Mendes had chosen a lavender gown by Roland Mouret. Her accessories for the evening were heels by Tabitha Simmons, a vintage, gold statement necklace by YSL and a black Chanel clutch. Eva Mendes always looks great both on and off the red carpet, and this is no exception. The colour of the dress is perfect for Eva, and the cut is so elegant and sophisticated.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely wore a white dream of a dress by The Row. In addition, she had chosen heels from Brian Atwood and a clutch by Salvatore Ferragamo. Rosie has proved before that she can wear very sexy dresses without looking vulgar (think of her Burberry look at the MET Gala last month). This look is such a show-stopper. And while talking about The Row, I really do hope that Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen win the Swarovski Award for Womenswear at the CFDA Awards tomorrow night.

Mila Kunis in Elie Saab Couture S/S 2011

You can not believe how excited I was to see Mila Kunis in this incredible haute couture lavender gown by Elie Saab. As some of you remember, yesterday I was hoping that someone would wear a piece from this collection as it comprises so many dresses that are worthy of being at the Oscars. Still, I am glad she chose exactly this dress as it is one of my very favourites from the couture collection.

Mila looked absolutely stunning, and at first I just couldn't stop staring at these photos of her because the dress suits her so well. She definitely ranks very high on my top 5 list. I can almost safely say that she was my favourite of the evening, though there are a few other dresses deserves a lot of attention as they were amazing. Check back very soon to see more!
