Michael Kors Resort 2012: Neon Brights

Anyone who's been reading Style Spot for a while, knows by now how obsessed I am over bold and bright colours, especially for this summer. Therefore, it is no surprise that I am weak for these dresses (especially the pink one!) from the newly shown Resort 2012 collection by Michael Kors. The collection profiled a strong scuba diver feel, but made it look fashionable and elegant. The sporty sophistication, the neon brights and the zebra prints made up an exciting and daring resort collection.

Bright Neon

When I was in London last week, I took several trips to Urban Outfitters in Oxford Street. Some of the first pieces that I noticed were the satchel bags by the Cambridge Satchel Company, as seen in the collage. They didn't have this neon yellow in when I was there. Instead they had the colours neon pink, neon orange and a darker purple with yellow detailing. Unfortunately, I didn't treat myself to one, and now, when I am back home, I am kicking myself for not doing so. It would look so, so good with the pieces in the collage below. Perfect for summer!

Anja Rubik for Vogue Australia April 2011

I fell in love with the use of colour in this editorial, Edge of Forever, featured in the April issue of Vogue Australia. Especially the bright, neon yellow dress by Christopher Kane. I never knew I would want a neon-coloured piece so bad, but now I can't take my mid off how great it will look with golden, sun-kissed skin during the summer. Also, I am getting hooked on neon nail polish, and especially the same colour as the dress. I need to buy some tomorrow.
