Saturday Streetstyle

When it comes to this week's "Saturday Streetstyle" post, the main keyword is layering. I can never seem to find enough inspiration when it comes to layering, so when I find great photos of such outfits, I feel like I have struck gold. I am especially loving the splashes of orange in photo 1 and photo 5 - I really like how it pops against the beige and the grey. Another keyword is leather jackets - so many good examples here!

Colour Combination: Orange & Beige

I am always in search of exciting colour combinations, and after seeing this editorial from the June issue of Avantgarde magazine, I have a new favourite. Model Valerie van der Graaf wears pieces in the colours orange and beige, and I absolutely love the mix of these two colours styled by Roel Schagen. I love the simplicity of these outfits, while at the same time the contrast between the bright and bold orange and the subtleness of the beige is so fun and exciting.

Orange and Blue

Okay, I'm back! I am so sorry for keeping you waiting for so long. Even though I am playing catch-up with the A/W 2011 shows from New York, London and now Milan, I still keep in mind that the S/S 2011 season is just around the corner. One of my favourite colour combinations for the warmer season is as seen in this photo: orange and electric blue. I am thinking of finding an orange, Halston-style maxi dress and teaming it with blue nail polish and huge blue rings. Or maybe an electric blue blazer combined with an orange clutch.
