It Is All In The Details

When in need of some style inspiration, one of my go-to websites is Stockholm Streetstyle. There are always so many fantastic, exciting and gorgeous outfit combinations to find there, and I often find myself discovering new ways to experiment with clothes after a visit there. My newest source of inspiration is this outfit. The very cropped leather jacket teamed together with that white maxi-dress with a low cut back is such a well thought-out detail. Christine Centenera is Black & Blue

And slightly yellow and gold. At first glance, Christine Centenera's outfit from Milan Fashion Week seems very simple as it is an all black ensemble, but after the first impression dies down one can see that it is much more complex. The layering of the black, perfectly tailored pieces, playing with various different materials, is very exciting.

The yellow and blue heels, peeping out from underneath her trousers, adds an unexpected and playful pop to her outfit. To top it all off, she has added her gorgeous, gold Celine necklace. This outfit proves that Christine Centenera is one of those fabulous women who definitely know how to have fun with fashion!

During the Fashion Weeks, we are spoilt with photos of great outfits. I always keep an eye out for Christine Centenera, fashion editor of Harper's Bazaar Australia, as I adore her style. During Paris Fashion Week, Christine was spotted in these pants by Celine teamed with a black tuxedo blazer (+ the amazing necklace by Celine!). At first I didn't like it much, as it reminded me too much of pyjama bottoms, but I have to say that this look has actually grown on me, and I am starting to like it a lot.

Streetstyle Saturday

It's Saturday, and that means Streetstyle Saturday. This time, I have found a lot of great streetstyle photos of known people, such as Alexa Chung, Olivia Palermo and Abbey Lee Kershaw. After seeing all of the photos together, I see that the main thing they all share is the use of neutral colours, which I love as it allows a lot of room to play around and experiment with the outfit. The only splash of colour is Alexa's yellow scarf, and Giovanna Battaglia's hot red skirt. I LOVE that red together with the beige - such a gorgeous combination!

Pink Delight

On my daily check-out of one of my favourite streetstyle blogs, Stockholm Streetstyle, I was met by a delightful sight. These two lovely ladies, better known as Andy (behind the blog Style Scrapbook) and Sandra (behind the blog 5 Inch and Up), have both mixed up their outfits with some shocking hot pink. When February arrives, I am always hungry for some bright colours after wearing a lot of darks and neutrals during the autumn- and winter months. This will give me a push to start digging out some pieces in bright colours, and combining them with winter coats and thick cardigans. Also, it will give the perfect excuse to go shopping. I have already seen that H&M's Trend collection is getting brighter and more colourful in between the racks.

Will you be wearing more colour soon? Or is it still a bit early?

One Way To Wear Wang

When I visited New York back in September, I treated myself to a black Coco Duffel bag by Alexander Wang. Every time I wear it, I feel like royalty. It perfects every outfit, and I never grow tired of using it. It's as though it's my little baby.

I love it when the bag pops up on streetstyle photographs, allowing me to get inspired to wearing it in different ways. This photo from Stockholm streetstyle is so refreshing. The contrast between the black and the nude leather jacket by Céline is excellent. Also this photo reminds me that I need to get myself the YSL arty ring (seen on her right hand). I just know that it belongs on my finger.

Dewi Driegen as Friday Inspiration

A good outfit does not need to be harder than this. Well, it is quite hard to wear such a simple outfit and make it look incredible, like model Dewi Driegen does with this. I instantly want to pair my leather jacket with a pair of nude high heels. I also want to dye my hair the same colour as her and get my hairdresser to give me a sharp fringe. Stylewise, I sometimes think of Dewi as Kate Lanphear's little sister. Dewi is not as rock & roll as Kate, but there are elements in her style that remind me of the style director for US Elle.

Cool Christine

A Hit For Fall
This fall, I have developed a crush for jersey maxi dresses and long skirts. I wore a lot of silk maxi dresses this summer so the transition isn't too big. I love wearing them with leather jackets, thick knits and large scarves. After seeing this I'll be adding a new element to these outfits; a clutch in a bold colour, like this gorgeous red one.
