Getting things done

I am sorry for my lack of posting lately. I have been so busy getting ready for Smart Design Mart, work, yoga, thrifting for the shop, photo shoots and learning everything at the same time!

I woke up this morning, and did not loose any time, went thrifting at the crack of dawn, found a few nice things for the shop, nothing for me :( But I did purchase an amazing dress from CraftyCrowVintage on etsy. I can't wait to wear it! She has such amazing stuff in her shop if only I were loaded with cash.

I went to midi yoga and then spent the whole afternoon sewing my YeYe collars, these will be in my etsy shop at the beginning of December. So exciting!

Désolée je n’ai pas publié beaucoup de billets ces jours ci, mais je suis si occupée avec la préparation du Smart Desing Mart , mon yoga, les achats pour la boutique, les séances de photos et en plus d’apprendre tout en même temps!

Ce matin je n’ai pas perdu de temps! J’ai fait les friperies tôt ce matin, j’ai trouvé de beaux items pour la boutique, mais rien pour moi L

J’ai acheté par contre sur Etsy une robe géniale de CraftyCrowVintage. J’ai très hâte de la porter!

Je suis allée à mon cours de midi yoga et par la suite, je me suis mise au travail – j’ai cousu tout l’après midi les cols YeYe.

Les cols seront à ma boutique Etsy au début de décembre- Totalement excitant!!

I will have two styles, a peter pan style and pointed style, I only found one beautiful printed Cotton Sateen, I plan on making my own printed fabrics from Spoonflower.com. I am experimenting with the lace collars for the moment, some have a silk underlay's and some have cotton sateen.

My rack for the Smart Design Mart sale has grown a whole lot!

J’aurai deux styles de cols – Peter Pan et Pointu - Je n’ai trouvé qu’un beau tissu en satin de coton. J’ai la ferme intention de créer mes propres imprimés grâce au site Web Spoonflower.com. J’expérimente présentement avec de la dentelle. Certains cols ont une thibaude ( underlay) en soie et d’autres en satin de coton.

Mon présentoir pour le Smart Design Mart croule de vêtements totalement vintages!

Current obsession: Detachable collars

I have been toying around in my mind with detachable collars, I really like how you can wear them like a piece of jewelery. I made this one at the beginning of last summer but had it laying around for quite sometime. This is just a prototype of what I would like to make, an idea is more like it. I want to make the points a little smaller and use a button and button hole as a closure instead.

I would also like to use some interesting animal prints if I can find on my fabric excursion this weekend. I still have a few test to do before these will make an appearance in my etsy shop.

I came up with this outfit quickly this morning:
