Puces Pop 2010

Yesterday was an amazing day, I got to meet my lovely friend Tara-Lynn who is responsible for the amazing knitwear line Yarnovermovement, for the second time of my life, she came to Montreal with her man Jason Lee and her friend Jeffrey. Tara-Lynn was so nice just like when I first met her and her boys were such a treat to talk to later on in the evening when we had a nice dinner date. I was also in the company of Sam (who is such a sweet heart :) from one of my favorite vendors at Puces Pop, Pin Pals we had coffee and wine at her place and it was so delightful to be able to chat with fellow etsy sellers and designers.

My pictures from Puces are a little dark as for the lighting in the church basement was not so great but I managed to snap a few shots here and there of my favorites at the show. I was immediately drawn to Thierry Huards beaded necklaces, I really like his use of bright colors and the designs of them. His to me were the jewelry that really stood out from all the black designs that overwhelmed me. The crowd was also very overwhelming, I did not get much shopping done there because it was so hard to even see what was on peoples tables. All and all it seemed to be a great turnout for the vendors.

For the occasion I came up with this outfit:

-Vintage 70s corduroy blazer, thrifted
-Pin, PinPals
-Purple beret, Yarnovermovement
-Grey cardigan, thrifted
-Bird print blouse, vintage and thrifted
-Leather belt, thrifted
-Wool/Mohair circle skirt, Comme Des Garçons
-Purple tights, Ardenes
-Brown leather boots, ebay

Puces Pop is still going on today, from 11 to 6pm so if your in town you must visit and see all the lovely hand made goodies they have to offer!
