For the past 3 years Stéphane and I have been taking a mini weekend road trip to Toronto, we love the city and especially Kensington street for the vintage shopping. I love the place because I can always find some amazing vintage Levis, on this trip I found a pair of 70s bell bottoms with an orange tag with a feather on it. I have never seen these Levis before, the cut is not like the usual 646's or 686's. The shop sales guy told me these were only made in limited amounts in the 70s and were one of the first ever hip huggers jeans by Levis in the 70s. I need to do more research on these, does anyone know about the orange feather tag on Levis?
Our stay was short but sweet, we ate at a few restaurants in Kensington, nothing to fantastic but overall pretty good, my favorite was a fish and chips place but I don't remember the name of the place all I remember is that it was on Augusta street. Stéphane finally found himself a Varsity jacket and some patches, we also visited a ton of record stores, we picked up Elvis's is first Lp from 56 and I got a Toys record and Al Green record. Our favorite place was Kops records on Queen street W. On our way back home we stopped at The Big Apple on highway 401 E and ate some apple goodies and visited the sheep's and Lama's, the apple pie from this place was oh so yummy! The picture of the Big Merino was for Tara-Lynn :)
It feels great to be home now and in our things, doing laundry and going back to work, we also visited the Bata shoe museum I will be posting my pictures later this week, they had an amazing collection of shoes from the 20s. I have so much to do now!
Enjoy!
